View from a Door

Raiden was sporting her new pinafore the other day. So, of course, I had to take some picture. It turned out better than I’d hoped, especially considering the cheap cotton I used. It all takes a back seat to her, though. She’s an awfully cute monkey.

Changes

I think I'm writing this for myself. I see my little blog sitting here all alone day after day and I keep making excuses. We'll be moving to an old turn of the (last)century house in Sanford this week. I can't wait to get out of this apartment and into a house with some character (and not upstairs neighbors). It'll be a great chance to break out the new camera again. And hopefully a kick in the butt to get working on the things I aspire to.

Have a lovely weekend.

Raiden at Gemini Springs

Our big tax return purchase this year was a Canon T2i Digital SLR camera. The Nikon D5100 and Canon T3i tempted us, but frugality won out. Happily, we love it! We took Raiden out to Gemini Springs so Tony could test it out test it out…

Raiden’s Tunic

I’ve been a bit of a hook-o-holic since I started crocheting late last year. One of the patters I’ve been working on in my spare time is 124-1 Crochet blanket by DROPS design.

I’ve been puttering out little squares for weeks…

Then I saw the Boho Blocks Child's Pullover by Valentina Devine…

The blocks are larger, so I improvised a great deal. This is what I ended up with:

It’s a bit large on Raiden right now. But I imagine it will last for a while… Smile

An introduction…

Or not. I never was good at those. There’s a level of narcissism that comes with the standard introduction. The pressure is on. You need to present yourself as witty and smart. Cool, detached, but sensitive… Blah blah, blah blah. All in about a minute or paragraph’s worth of time or space.
Well, screw that. If you know me, then you know me and it’s redundant. If you don’t, you likely don’t care and if you do you’ll either ask or figure it out over time.
I’m not sure what I’ll do with this tiny slab of space. Mumble, drool, go over old writing and new obsessions, … forget about it completely. Who knows. We’ll see.
I can say: I know I suck with punctuation. I need not be reminded unless asked. If you hate what I write or say, then by all mean say so. Then go about your little life and leave mine alone.
Till later or not at all.
